23:56 - 24:11 is The Golden Throne by John Bergin. Not sure where Top Gear sourced it, but my copy is from a CD given away for free called "Music for Hammering". All tracks are inspired by the Warhammer 40K game.

They got it from John Bergin's submissions on his website: http://web.me.com/grinderx/Site/music_archive.html
The track is on the album "Terra Damnata" under the artist name C17H19NO3 and is titled "Sacrifice"

ADDED:
23:56 - 24:11 - C17H19NO3 - Sacrifice
27:23 - 27:32 - C17H19NO3 - Sacrifice
28:06 - 28:20 - C17H19NO3 - Penetration

54:37 - 55:13 sounds like something from the Hans Zimmer studio, possibly john powell or sth from the hitman movie?
58:21 - 58:39 pretty sure it's sth from Tyler Bate's 300 soundtrack album

Im pretty sure that 53:17 - 53:47 is "The Chase" by Philip Glass from the Illusionist...but cant be 100% certain due to the ambiance...might want to check

I am 100% sure on these:

54:37 - 55:13- Deadpool- Harry Gregson Williams (X-Men Origins)

59:03 - 59:45 - Deadpool- Harry Gregson Williams (X-Men Origins)

Are you sure? I think it sounds totally different?!

It is not Adagio for Strings, op.11 The poster who said it was from the Alpha 8C review is correct, however, it was used for the first time on Top Gear during the opening segments of that piece.

Haven't we heard that....

I know neither has been identified but I thought that may come in handy...

Someone is seriously going to have to tell me what that song is (3:06-3:25). I've been checking on this since I heard it last season. And still cannot find it! Losing sleep here...

Just registered to say; ditto.

I really want to know this song, and it is not Adagio for Strings. Driving me crazy.

58:21 - 58:39 - ?

That's Elliot Goldenthal - "Titus Victorius" from Titus (1999). It sounds similar to "Come and get them" from the 300 soundtrack because Tyler Bates ripped it off.

I'm beginning to think this mystery song should have a thread of it's own. I mean it's continually used in Top Gear and yet no one has any idea what it is. I will let anyone bone my dog if they can tell me what that song is. (3:06-3:25)
