Dj Neophyte Vs Dj Scott Brown- Digital Distortion Works

should be it.. the other techno songs that is..

08:37 - 09:00 etc...

Hi Guys,

happy to find this forum, I was looking for the sound that brought even Captain Slow to some dancing moves :D

I'm pretty sure it is something from Scott Brown, found two "sounds-a-like" on yt:

Boomstick:

But a very nearly 100% match for that catchy sound is in the track commence:

Main Problem is that you (almost?) never hear a voice part. I think the disc that (I guess) Hammond insert was a sampler... but he says something about track 4.

I think (following research on Youtube that nearly drove me mad because I can't stand the "thumpa-thumpa-thumpa" of that noise that passes for music) that "Digital Disotortion" is the track that Clarkson and Hamster set on May's stereo.

please find at the bottom of the first post in this thread;

This listing contains music from the original BBC broadcast version,
all other versions (Dave, Youtube, TopGear.com, et al) have replaced music.
If you are looking for music from these alternate versions, most of it can be
found by going to: www.extrememusic.com.

They bought a cheap CD at a gas station, and glued it into the CD player along with gluing all the buttons down. James May? could not eject, play, stop, or do anything with it. Only the remote worked, which was in the hands of Clarkson. So, since they glued it into the cd player, they could not switch CD's.

They said earlier in the episode "I think he'll find track 4 particularly to his liking." In that case, Hammond picked up the? "This One Is For You" album by DJ Neophyte And Scott Brown.

See here: http://www.discogs.com/DJ-Neophyte-And-Scott-Brown-This-One-Is-For-You/master/90016

This might fill in those blanks. :)

They definitely didn't use that album. If you listen to "Commence" and listen to the main melody, you hear that same melody when James and Richard are sitting around at the top of the field waiting for Clarkson to get up the grass. So either they bought specifically a Scott Brown mix CD and we hear tracks from the whole album, or they set Commence on repeat and it was used in every scene where his stereo was heard. I'm betting on Commence set to repeat just because they specifically chose track 4 to annoy James with. You can also hear the words "let the beat commence" very faintly at 8:46-8:48 in the episode.

I'm therefore going to confirm the votes for Commence. Which mix it is, I have no idea. But it is without a doubt Commence by Scott Brown in at least two of those scenes.

08:37 - 9:00 Scott Brown - Commence But there is several mixes of this song so it is very hard to figure out which one it is but I have found some torrents for them.

CD2 209 - Commence

What is the song played in place of Max Richter- Shadow Journal in the youtube version of the Bugatti-McLaren race?

Not sure if anyone cares anymore with everythings that's gone on, but as a happy hardcore fan I couldn't resist looking into the tracks used in this episode.

Scott Brown - Commence

08:37 - 09:00
09:13 - 09:20
10:53 - 11:02
11:43 - 11:48
50:19 - 50:35

Dougal and Gammer - Don't Stop

50:47 - 51:19 -

By this, you can assume May is listening to CD1 of this CD as it contains 'Commence' and 'Don't Stop', just with the bass boosted.

As long as the lists are incomplete, we still care to find everything possible from the past episodes.

There's been a lot of debate about 'Commence', but those are definitely correct (according to the BBC as well). Thanks, I've added them.

Any idea what this one is??
43:43 - 43:59 - ? MP3 Sample

Seems to be a rave break/breakcore track. Might be harder to find because there's so many of them that sound the same (because of the usage of the Amen Break) but I'll have a look around :).
