Its not fast but I'm hoping to improve my driving skills with this, No power steering, everythings mechanical and its rwd :)

Ahh a proper enthusiast getting into his car - I got respect for you ;)

Should be bloody rewarding once its all ready 8)

Do you think you'll modify the engine to solve the power issue?

niiice, i've always loved those escorts

a friend has one standing in a shed, with the front all rusted away, but the rest is fine, so we're not realy sure what to do with it

PS: i realy hope you're getting rid of that horrid steeringwheel :?

It hasnt cost me much, I've only spent about $1500(got the car really cheap $250), labor is cheap here, I'm still deciding on the engine, Parts will be difficult in the future. but as of now I'm sticking to 1600cc.

Haha I know, I've got one at home, I'll change it in the future.

my dad hat one of those RS versions I think, in bright orange with a large rubber spoiler on the back :)

Now THAT is porn for me :) LOVE that car  I demand more pics! :D

My dad had one of those - rusted away! Good effort, keep up the good work. I seem to recall that the 1600 was not too slow, dad's was a 1300 and I think that there was an 1100 too, as well as the 2000 RS. Car of choice for the cognoscenti was the 1600 E with the vinyl roof I seem to recall.

awesome car man.. i sure do wish we got these over here in north america

Wow... as if the work on the Escort wasn't impressive enough, the restoration of the Chevy is amazing. Excellent work.

Those are two seriously cool cars. Me likes

Beautiful car, great restore, well done. Is it road legal and have you and your dad been out in it, a real head turner. You've even got the whitwall tyres !!!!

What's the story on the Mustang under the tarp?
Its my brothers car, he bought it in a good condition, didnt do much to it.

Yes, The Chevy is road legal :) , but still no number plate. the previous owner lost the papers. long process to get new papers

update: left the car for a year untouched. but it was running. latest pics:
