Came across this randomly browsing marketplace, picked it up for 3k as it wasn't running ( no spark) and the plan is to "restore" it to original spec but with a few nice improvements to make it a bit nicer to drive. Was originally a fleet car in South Australia before going to and old lady who recently lost her license, done 10,000km in the last 13 years.
Engine and trans are quite nice for its age, actually surprisingly smooth, Needs suspension work, mainly just due to age of rubbers.

Make: Holden

Model: Commodore Executive

Engine: 3800 V6 (Buick motor)

Colour: White on Grey

Rims: 14'' Mooncaps, had to upgrade to 15's for new brakes

Km's: 199,000

Mods: New V8 front brakes, master cylinder, braided brake lines, fog lamps, new lights and globes all round, transmission cooler.

Transmission: Auto

Future Mods: New front and rear bumpers (grey) replace some of the 30 year old rubbers, New suspension

It's a bit strange seeing the 3800 turned the "wrong" way from what I've grown up with.

very cool, man!

Yeah they only got mated to RWD applications here.

I have mainly just being trying to get it running nice after years of little use, Wiring is pretty rough. I've basically done an entirely new cooling system (Hoses, radiator, overflow, water pump, thermostat) New Alternator the other day, replaced a bunch of sensors.

Will likely get a new DFI module and some MSD coils soon.
It runs quite nice on the highway but idles like dogs balls.

The way the rear wheelarch continues straight back reminds me of old Opels. The rest of the design is very "an car please" :D

I like how wide the cabin seems to be, judging by the center console. More cars should be made like this, "someone think about the childrnarrow streets in europe" isn't a thing in every part of Europe.

A real survivor, remarkably good condition considering the distance driven by people who probably didn't care much about it. I also saw the Opel design cues that show it shares body panels with the Senator B. Nice hubcaps and I like the simple but pleasant interior.

Part of me would love to see this stickered up as a police car with an LTS siren, it's not like they went for complex liveries back then according to this:

Oh yeah, this looks like an "Omega Maxi" with a Beretta style dashboard. Really like these, not only for the alternative universe Opel look.

Oh, I like this a lot!
