Here it is. We got it back in 2001 to replace the old Series III Sovereign 4.2 we had. It was pretty low kilometers (Around 60,000 km I think) and it was in pretty much perfect condition. Now it's done just over 150,000km and it's starting to show it's age. But still, it's a really clean car.

It's the last of the XJ40s, with a revised rear and updated interior. You COULD call it rare, if you wanted ;)

Seeing that really goes to show how :) little they have changed, and thats not a bad thing. It looks in decent nick :)

I can tell its an XJ6 because of the small wheels. What are they, 16"ers??

I always liked those Jags. That's a really nice example of one too. However, every time I see one now, I'm just reminded of the Jag demolition they did on Mischief Invasion.

Yeah, hard to find a better looking saloon than the XJ. Yeah, 16s. If I got some X300/X308 XJR 18"s on there, it'll look badass! :D

Haha, I want to see that video! You have it? Upload it on youtube or something!

BTW, those small gaps on the panel where the passenger airbag is in the interior, I recon it's from when some guy was doing some touchups from *gulp* supermarket dings.. anyway he was trying to find the touch up kit to match the paint and he thought the glovebox was where the airbag is... Gah, idiot!

I'll try and upload it tomorrow. It's on DVD, so I need to copy a bit of it. Otherwise, be on the lookout for Mischief: Invasion.

Oh cool, thanks. What is Mischief: Invasion anyway?

It's a Series where people do stupid stuff in cars and races like the Gumball. Most of them are just average footage of hotted up Supras, but this one is probably the best. It is mostly about the European Cannonball a few years ago. The main guys had their turbo BMW M3 confiscated at customs, so they used a Mondeo hire car .

Here is the trailer for it

I gotta get me some of that

how reliable has it been?

Oh I need to download that :D

Please tell me the shag pile seat covers can be removed?
Yeah I hate those sheep skin covers. I can understand (sort of) when people put them in really old cars, to preserve the leather, but I hate it when I see them in brand new cars because it completely ruins the look.

It has never broken down, ever. Starts every time! The most reliable car we have had! Unlike our old Series III Sovereign 4.2.. that was horrible. Not the worst one out there (I know someone who had one that would break down while driving, ours would be fine once up and running) but still pretty bad.

@don vito yeah.. I hate them too. Them came with the car, and for some sick, twisted reason, my father likes them. At least they preserve the leather. It's like brand new, those seats.

@SL65 Why oh why would you put sheep skin covers on a new car? :|

No idea :| I've noticed many Asians do it to their new BMWs, Mercs etc when they're car is brand new - completely ruins it!

Actually yes, I've noticed it when I walk through Chinatown in the city that for whatever reason, they like putting sheepskin covers on their new cars.

Sold! :( 12/93 build date, $16,000 AUD and 153,000km.

She's been cleaned up and she looks like new. It makes me sad to see it go now that it's finally this clean and beautiful. She was underpowered and overweight, but I still loved her. It was time to go.

Oh my, I rarely refer to cars as 'her/she' :p

That engine bay is sweet! Shame it's gone... What are you planing to replace it?

Yeah, it came out pretty damn good! Holden VZ or VE Calais, or a another Jag. Probably a X308 XJ8/R. Maybe a Monaro too.
