Dear 001,

My Bentley moles are reporting the development of a super luxo SUV based on the Audi Q7.

It will only have to rows of seats but I'm hearing it will have a Lambo engine AND fit and finish quality of the Continental GT.

Look for an MSRP of $175k+

Check out the picture AutoCar is showing...
First the 'Flying Spur' now the 'Flying Sled'?

Cruzz-
Just sign it, s'all you gotta do.

Eventually they want you to send letters to congressmen. I like their idea and goal but i dont like the fact that they dont disclose their full intent. They dont just want you to sign, they are asking for more.

Ah, all I did was sign :p

Damn, guess I'll take it off then.

take what off? Dont edit your sig. Im just saying I dont agree with the way they mislead you in a way.

I was a bit motivated to sign up but couldnt find a real reason why they just wanted you to sign. Im all for the cause and all but I didnt commit because they werent upfront with it. I had to google and search a while before I found out that they want you to go to rallies and protest and send congressmen/woman letters etc.

Its like they say, just give us ur name/contact info and we'll charge you later sorta thing. If it was a petition I would have signed but they will ask for more than just "one" signature, registration etc. Thats the part I didnt like.

Other aspects I did like, they have both republicans and democrats so its not some really left protest sorta thing.

Its just my principal, I dont give away contact info and things unless I know what Im signine up for/ paying for etc.

Ahh, well all I put was my first and last name and my yahoo e-mail addy ;)

But I took it off anyway, I'll just stick with thehungersite.com :D

those arent really production cars but one-of's for these super-too-much-money oil dudes.

It will never beat the Range Rover for prestige/luxury and probly wont beat the Cayenne for 4x4 ability/performance...its a tough market for this car

WTF mate???

A Bentley SUV

This will be the new car for drive by shooting in the US :p

I just can imagine this SUV in bling version

Cheers!

whats with all the manufacturers wanting to get in the SUV business... does it really make that much profit?

Yes, it does. They aren't that more expensive than regular cars, Use a lot of shared parts, and cost a lot more.

But that will be damaging to Bentley's image... Porsche is all about sportiness, a little rebel, while Bentley, althouth more rebel than Rolls Royce, it's a lot more conservative, and their main target buyers are old people, that don't want to see a lot of people with a car like their's.
They will sell a lot, no doubt about it, but when the dust settles and car sales slow down, Bentley won't be as strong a brand as they are now. Or they will and I'm wrong. But if you have a chance to sell, you will be dumb not to.

Well I'm sure they'll be hand-built, like the Continental GT, so they can't make too many ;) :p

Autoindex has this data
Production in 2003: Arnage: 607, Continental GT Coupe: 107, Azure: 62, Continental: 16
The Conti GT as started rpoduction in 2003. Don't know about 2004 figures, but they shouldn't be too high. Just a little higher than it should be. Every star has one. There's no real desirability if everyone has one. (I don't have one, but would like to have one, though).

I don't know if I can express my thoughts correctly, but it's 5 am, and my eyes are closing more and more.

Go to sleep and discuss it tomoz...

bihus = then >

looks like a crap idea, and it will sell for sure. how well, that is to be debated, but as long as there are dumb people with alot of money, it will sell for sure.
as far as huring the image, well the Continental GT is hardly the old bentley that people would think of 10 years ago, and it's been accepted well. an SUV is a whole different bag of goodies, and i don't think this will do well at all. nomatter how strong it is, or how well built it is, lambo proved that a luxury offroader doesnt work together. why spend hundreds of thousands for a rare leather when your muddy shoes will ruin it? same as the cayenne, i've never actually seen one used offroad when there are no cameras involved..

PS: in north america, 60% of vehicles sold today are SUVs and trucks. the #s are climbing too.

either way bentley doesnt belong there...

what in the world was bentley thinking to make that POS... I wonder what would JC have to say about that

the Bentley wouldn't be in the same range as them(200 grand), so i guess it'll have it's own class
