2002 Holden Monaro CV8

Mine goes to 260, just got able to get it to 245

Holden would sell you the parts I would think, it's probably just a few different clips

Still looks good so many years on 8) Nice choice

Oh and I also had fun setting the speed alarm thingy really low before my parents set off in their VTII Commodore many years ago heheh.

it's a standard commo speedo, they do go faster than that but there is no where to do it here legally

Yeah.. Later models had a 260Km/h speedo methinks.

god that front end looks SOOOO much better than the GTO front end... i wonder how hard it would be to fit the AUS spec (a-spec?) body work on the front end of a US GTO. they are soooooo cheap here... i see 2004 models with 40k ish miles for 19-22 thousand all over on autotrader in 6spd even. bang for buck it's really really hard to beat. anyway your car is hot i love everything about other than lack of stick but thats personal preference

They should just clip straight on! :D Heaps of Monaro look-a-likes in the US.

OH!!!! Nice car!!!!

I love Monaros!!!! Well!!! I love any V8 Australian car!!! Nice one you got a hold of!!! I loved the engine cover I yellow!!! Just by looking at it I know it must be a lot of fun driving it!!!

nice car... but howcome the interior is off the VX and not the VY or VZ? Was the Monaro sold throughout the VX, VY and VZ platform?

It's a Series one. Series one came out in 2001, which shared the VX interior. Then Series two onwards had the VY/VZ interior.

I kinda prefer the VX dash.. the VY/VZ dash looks a bit too plastic to me.

I agree with that, the VT-VX dash does look nicer, IMO. Thing is, I'm not a big fan of the standard VT-VX steering wheel, but I spose the Monaro gets a different wheel?

Nice Monaro though, it's crazy how well they've held their value compared to the Commodore equivalent.

Still, even though I'm not a big Holden fan, the VT-VX era cars do look quite nice. It's scary how cheap the LS1 versions are, seen VT2 SS Commodores for $15K!

Same wheel afaik, just the silver inserts on the audio buttons I think are unique to the Monaro :p Commodore resale value isn't exactly fantastic.. Now if Holden don't make another Monaro for about.. another 30 years, the resale value should be sweet! :D

Agreed with the VT-VX cars, although the VT looks very dated these days. VT2 SS Commodores for $15k?

Screw the SS and get a Exec V8. Make for a nice sleeper!

More pictures, with new wheels. From a 2005 CV8Z, really brings the car up. Old wheels were too dull!
