Someone Else's Problem: 2004 Ford Mustang Convertible 'murica

Looks really good!

New headlights! I had to, it was almost unbearable at night.

Mine are equally foggy and I've been spoiled by the HIDs in my Viper that are insane at night. Maybe just going for unfogged lenses will help.

Where'd you get yours and for how much? I've seen YouTube videos saying that it'd stupidly simple to swap them out.

I got mine from amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0024NWR0M/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Those come with headlight bulbs but no turn signal bulbs. Just transfer the old ones over to the new ones.

The headlights are held in with two black metal brackets, pull up on them(they're a tight) and the headlights slide forward.

You will need to aim the new headlights and all it takes is a flat head screw driver. I used this video:

I'm on the edge of not satisfied with the headlight bulbs that came with the housings but, I feel wasteful replacing them. They're just ok.

Can't you just use the original bulbs that you had in previously?

Yeah I could. If I knew where I put them. I remember removing them out of the old housing...

Well, she's been sitting in storage all winter but, this past weekend was quite warm and roads were mostly dry and not so salty. I went took her out.

Update on the Mustang.

$300 later e3 plugs, shocks, struts, and damper shocks were done. Rides like new car.

However, while on the lift I realized how badly I need subframe connectors, I opened the passenger door while on the lift to get something and found I could not close the door with the window up. Apparently the body flexes that much.

Tax return came so that'll be the next upgrade.

Also, the problem with the door alignment was probably the same on the drivers side but, that window was rolled down so I didn't notice.

e3 plugs? why? next time I highly suggest you stick with the factory plugs and make sure they're gapped correctly. Switching plugs can be harmful.

Also I highly recommend Maximum Motorsports full length sub-frame connectors. The standards lengths are ok for a hardtop car but not enough for a convertible car. I have standard lengths on my '88 convertible and I still have a good amount of flex. It's certainly MUCH better than before, but I regret not getting full lengths the first time around. (I'm hoping to get a roll bar eventually, which should help out a ton.)

What shocks and struts did you go with?

KYB for shocks and struts, Monroe's for the dampers

Not terrible (well depending on who you ask :p ). which dampers are you referring to? the quad shocks?

Yeah, the axle dampers.

I don't track it so the best of the best is not worth the extra cash.

EDIT

Had some fun today. :D
