Ownership Verified: 2005 Honda Civic Type-R

So after four years of relatively trusty Focus ownership it was time for a new daily driver. So here it is!

It's a Cosmic Grey Premier Edition EP3, 95k and unmodified. I love it!

Will get some better pics (and clean the car) soon.

Harder than you think, seeing as how Honda never brought the Type R over here.

I had an SiR (Si in the US), which had only a 5 speed and 160hp (versus the 6 speed, LSD, and 200 hp in the R), and it was a GREAT car. Probably my favourite of all the cars I've had. I can only imagine how much better the Type R was.

Nice EP3. As said above, finding unmolested ones is near impossible. That K-series is one of the best engines honda has made.

Not as small as you think. It weighs 2880 lbs.

At about 1300kg it's not exactly light, but that is still fairly good. My friends old EK4 was measuree about the same weight. Ofc. that K20 is at it's best dropped in to an older civic
