There are some other upgrades as well, but I don't have photos of those (rear spacer shims, tint, new TRD exhaust). So far the car has been working wonderfully, no major problems yet. I've had her for almost three years and I can't complain much. Some people hate these cars but I love its roominess, fuel economy, and style. Yes, I said style

Some people hate these cars

I must admit that I am one of those, and I must say that it is (IMO) one of the most ugliest thing I've ever seen, Should've gotten it in white, so I could call it a toaster, but If you're enjoying it that's good. How much did it end up costing ya? I pressume you baught it new. It's also nice to see you're keeping it clean.

EDIT: mind you it is a nice change from all the boring generic cars being produced these days, :)

It was $17K out the door (after taxes, etc.). I put down $2K and financed the rest over 60 months. My payments are $289/month and my interest rate is 5.4%.

The return of the Toaster! :D

Nice xB. My bro's roommates has one and that is the roomiest car I have ever been in, and thats saying a lot because I'm 6'4"

But may I ask why you chose this particular model, considering all the cars that are available for 17 grand (particularly used)....

The primary reason is because I wanted a new car with a full warranty. I could have bought a 2004 xB but the used models sometimes cost more than new ones, plus they only made 2500 yellow ones (so it's pretty rare). If you mean why didn't I buy a completely different car, well, I can't explain that :)

I love these things, they look so different to everything else made these days.

Are you planning to do anything else to it?

Next up are headers and possibly a short shift kit with upgraded bushings. During spring break I'm going to paint part of the tail lights red (I'm tired of the clear look).

Hahahaha, banana bread !!!!!! I'm not too sure about the color or the gear knob, but the rest of the car looks really clean.

I always liked the xB. Extremely practical little car. I hear the xB is pretty fun to drive too.

Exactly. I love the xB just cause it's so practical and the fact it fit 5 fully grown adults, our luggage, and 2 cases of beer on a road trip.

Loved that little car.... and when he traded it in for a new Civic, they gave him $13,300 for it. He bought it new at $15,500 and put about 20k on it. That's some awesome resale.

My wife also has a 2005 xB and we love it. We bought it factory alloys, the upgraded tailights, and spoiler, and then put in the Kenwood nav system (which was the same unit Jag OEM'd in her previous car, an X-type).

We even call it "the box" as well!

Steve

So...has anyone noticed something else significant has changed from the first photo to the last?

Hint: It's not the car

^ haha, nice didn't notice that. Is that your/your folks lincoln in the background aswell?

:jawdrop: Bloody hell, that's brilliant resale!

There's something about this little toaster that appeals to me, I have no idea what, but it's cool.
