The replacement for the replacement of the Toledo. It is a mid 2006 version (pre interior facelift) with ~45,000 miles on the clock. It is the 150bhp diesel so it pulls fairly well. It is pretty clean on the outside with only a few minor scuffs and one kerbed alloy.
The engine is incredibly quiet and it is very comfortable, although some of the interior is a bit shoddy (mainly the transmission tunnel area).
I realise the pics are a bit shite so I'll do some better ones eventually.

Nice. I do like those from a design standpoint. Did you get a good deal?

I really want the wagon version of this. No idea why, it just makes me want it.

Looks tidy anyway. Hope this one lasts longer than the last one!

Nice car! I like the fact that it's red :p

Also, I've always wondered why Saab decided to call their diesels TiD. I mean, Turbo intercooler Diesel? Syntax know English you?

Turbo injection Diesel?

'grats on the car :)

Those are some funky rims, on a first glance they really fucked with my head.

Somehow I really love those pre-facelifted Saab 9-3's, I can't put my hand on why but I just have a soft spot for them.
Congratulations on the purchase!

Nice 9-3! Why did you drown your previous car?

I had the official Hirsch performance upgrade installed today. It now has 175bhp and enough torque to pull a small planet out of orbit. The acceleration in 5th and 6th at motorway speed is insane but it is still perfectly refined and sedate if you want it to be.

I'm considering a 9-3 too. Although I'm going for the Aero 2.8 V6 Turbo. I've read that the transmission isn't very nice and the gear changes lack accuracy. Any truth to that?

Can't say I've noticed any issues, but then I'm only comparing it to the likes of VW Polos and Seat Toledos.
Unfortunately I also picked up the Hirsch brochure and now I want some of the interior bits. That'll be another ?500 down the drain.

Yes, it's all truth. The 2.8L is a pretty rough and inefficient motor, and the gearbox feels pretty vague. I think the 4 cylinders are better.

It's a fancy brand name for diesel, like every other brand name for diesel.

TDI, CDI, TiD, TTiD, TD, d, D, D5, D3, HDi, dTi, DTI, TDS, dCi, i-CDTi, i-DTEC, CRDi, TDcI, TDdI, D Turbo, Diesel Turbo, Turbo-D, Turbodiesel, JTD, Multijet, D4-D, Boxer Diesel, CRD.

Also... Quattro, 4x4, AWD, 4WD, Real Time 4WD, Full Time 4WD, Symmetrical AWD, Sh-AWD, Alltrac, 4Matic, 4Motion, 4Grip.

Yeah, I'm bored.

edit: SRDT and SDI. Thanks public :p
