I had to wait until last night at 11pm to watch the race, it didn't air here until then.
Spending all day Monday trying not too find out what happened was a challenge, I did pretty well, all I heard during the day was, "Hamilton leads the Drivers Championship" and "Robert Kubica had a crash."
The race was amazing, best GP so far this year, got to love Canada
. Very good job by Hamilton to get the win, he deserved it. I was laughing at Alonso and turn one, made my night.
Very happy with Webber's performance, he had a really fast car and was using it to its full potential. Glad he got to finish the race without any mechanical failures, ninth place was a decent result (he finished only 0.0something behind Ralf, so close to getting a point). Although, I think he would've finished in the Top 5 for sure if his team didn't stuff up his pit stop strategy. Why did they wait...I don't know. :? RBR still have to sort out the realiability issues though, Coultard's gearbox failed...
Ferrari had a poor race, don't know what happened. I think the DQ for Massa and Fisi was a bit harsh, I think a 10 sec pit stop penality would've been sufficient, but that's the rules I guess.
Kubica's crash was horrific and was pretty scary for awhile there, glad he's going to be ok.
ITV followed Webber's progress throughout most of the race, which made me happy. It's always good watching Webber race!! Channel 10 coverage was crap, why McConville was there when he was racing that day, I don't know. His comments suck, he just repeats what ITV tell us during the race, why bother with commenting TEN...and the time they spent chatting at the end, they could've shown most of the Drivers Press Conference...who cares if we miss five or so minutes of the news.
I don't know why I noticed this but the flag marshals seemed lazy, their flag waving technique was pretty poor.
Obviously following Honda's pitstop strategy!!
Webber pitted before Barichello, so Honda were coping RBR.
Go Canada!!!
