2007 F1 car launches

If Prodrive ran as Aston, they would build their own engines and purchase a customer chassis.

Prodrive doesn't have enough money to build and develop engines. It's probably going to run with customer everything.

cuz thats just so....dumb

just because its a f1 engine does not mean that it will work with a real car. And whats so special about the vantage's exhaust? Its like any exhaust with a butterfly valve which many cars have now. If you want to hear an Audi V8 with a butterfly valve, see the Audi RS4 V8. Also why would prodrive run under the aston martin flag with audi engines? it doesnt may any sense at all

right perhaps I wasn't clear, but I didn't assume people would think I was that stupid to put an F1 engine in a road car...

what I meant was because now aston is their own company they don't have any home engine facilities (it's all ford engines). And if prodrive run as aston on F1 they might get into a deal with audi (or mecedes or BMW - all three are possible cos none are currently supplying customer engine and VAG is the only major german manufacturer not in F1, and audi is the right brand for it, what with DTM and everything) for engines - whcih might run over to the road car side of aston.

which is why I said the aston with THAT V8 (i.e. the V8 from the RS4) and THAT exhaust system - the one from the vantage - which is known to be loud as fuck.. and everyone knows the aston is underpowered anyways.

If Audi went into F1 they'd probably build their own car. I don't have a reason, it just seems like a very Audi thing to do.

Super Aguri unveiled the SA07 this afternoon in Melbourne. Story and images here.

It looks to me like it is last years Honda, but I don't care. I think thats an awesome looking machine and I wish Sato and especially Davidson well. Roll on Sunday!!

Only difference I have noticed is a slight change to the front wing.

Of course it does. It's in proper Japanese colours.

I can't wait to see the Honda on track on Friday though.

there's a few differences, rear wing endplates are different, air intake is different, those fences that poke out the side of the sidepod are different, the chimney's are different, and the little wings that sprout from the mid nose are new

no fundamental changes to the chassis itself though, those are all just aero tweaks

I am going to mistake the Toyota and Super Aguri (and vice versa) with those liveries being so close, especially at speed. They will probably run close to each other in the field too

The Honda's color scheme has me captivated. It is THE best looking car in the current field. The BAR Racing colors would have spoiled the car (though Prodrive no longer runs Honda, as I've just found out). Kudos to Honda for not following the trend of putting as many sponsor decals as possible on the car.
