2007 Nissan Teana

Yes, it's called the Maxima down under and Cefiro in Asia. It's the same car. I'm just not sure whether you guys got the updated version first or Japan did or whether this is using the existing bodystyle as a disguise

Well we (Australia) have had that shape Maxima (the 3 above links) for about 3 or so years now... I had a look on the Nissan USA website and the Maxima there looked as though it had much more aggressive lines, especially around the boot (trunk) area.

Which is slotted just above the Altima:

:)

Yeah, the first two pics in my post are of the latest model.
The car in the spy pics is apparently a car to be slotted at the top of Nissans model line. Currently the Maxima is at the top. Then there's their luxury division, Infiniti, but that's a whole 'nother story you prolly already know. :p

EDIT: Thread hijack! My 2,000th post!

Now lemme just mod myself...
:offtopic:
There we are.

The Teana is basically the same car as the American Maxima. It just has a more luxury/comfort theme rather than the "sports car" image that American commericals feed to you.

It's been out for over a year in Japan.

So it's the same one as the Altima and Murano, that's the chassis the Maxima is based on, so this on is just streched and widened, 'cause it looks like a big car, like the Q45. Is it FWD? That Maxima/Teana one, in Oz I mean... I don't think that's the face of your new Maxima either, the one that America has, I mean. :)
