Toro Rosso - No Launch, will begin season with an updated version of the STR02 and will launch the STR03 mid-season.

As the other teams release their launch dates, I will update this original post to reflect those dates.

Seen as last years car launch thread was pretty big, I thought I would make a separate thread on the launches again this year.

I really want to see Honda's car, hopefully they can make something that doesn't have the aerodynamic properties of a brick!

^^^LMAO :p

That is the sexiest F1 car ever...but sadly not gonna happen.

Hasn't the creator of that picture asked that it not be posted?

Awesome looking car, unfortunately its not a Ferrari work, but an enthusiasts rendering of what he would make it look like. A damn sight better then anything else out there too. Oh well, maybe Ferrari will see that and take coloring cues off it or something.

I think he was angry because someone took his name off the drawing.

I like his work on BMW too, the 2007 had too much white:

and here is his profile to advertise:

blah blah blah crap crap blah blah blah... an enthusiasts rendering of blah blah crap crap blah

I love that word, it always reminds me of those Shannon's commercials shown during an F1 race. I've spent a long time looking for those commercials, but I couldn't find them. So sorry all you Mr. NotAustralian's, you wont know what I'm talking about.

January launch for new Honda
http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2007/12/7203.html

Honda will reveal their 2008 challenger, the RA108, in January, it was announced on Thursday. The new car will be unveiled at the team?s UK headquarters in Brackley on January 29, 2008.

Honda CEO Nick Fry, new team principal Ross Brawn and race drivers Jenson
Button and Rubens Barrichello will all be attendance.

The Japanese squad endured a difficult 2007 campaign, ending the season in eighth with six world championship points.

It seems it's the 29th not the 21st

Ferrari have also bought there launch date forward by one day.

Ferrari to launch new car on January 6

Thursday, 20, December, 2007, 11:36

Ferrari has revealed that it will launch its 2008 car at its Fiorano test track on January 6.

The Italian squad will therefore be the first of the 11 Formula 1 teams to unveil its 2008 challenger, which is expected to be an evolution of the F2007 that gave Ferrari the drivers? and constructors? world titles.

The car will be presented to the world?s media before making its track debut at Jerez the following week.

Ferrari CEO Jean Todt divulged the date in a meeting with Italian journalists at Maranello.

Todt will hand over the reins of Ferrari?s F1 team to Stefano Domenicali on January 1, and said he would be making only occasional visits to grands prix in 2008.

?I won?t attend the launch on January 6, as I?m returning from a holiday in Malaysia the day after,? he was quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport.

?As for the races, I will go once in a while.?

Wow - that guy has some awesome images. Wish I could draw half as good :(

This is going to be a tough year without a USGP to go to

If Ferrari is the first unveiling, does that mean it will constitute as a sneak peak at the new McLaren? :D

Stuttgart launch for new McLaren

Friday, 28, December, 2007, 01:10

McLaren has decided to hold a launch event for its 2008 car after all, having previously indicated it would do without an official presentation.

The team will unveil its MP4-23 challenger at the Mercedes-Benz museum in Stuttgart on January 7 ? the day after arch-rival Ferrari takes the wraps off its new car at its Fiorano test track in Italy.

When it announced its ?08 driver line-up earlier this month, it said it had ?no plans for a launch presentation? and would roll out the MP4-23 at an exclusive test at Jerez during the second week of January.

The test debut is now expected to come the day after the Stuttgart launch.
