i really wanna type Lewis here but i must say Webber will be leading
3- Which team will lead the championship after?
RBR but it will be very close after this race
4- Is Ferraris form going to hold or will we see a festival of energy drinks?
Energy drinks

Button
7- Kobayashis performance?
Who? pardon me, i cant se that far back in the field :p
8- Heidfeld-points?

1- Pole and winner?
Vettel Pole, but Alonso wins
2- Who will lead the WDC after?
Mark Webber
3- Which team will lead the championship after?
RBR
4- Is Ferraris form going to hold or will we see a festival of energy drinks?
Ferrari's form will hold, and Massa will hopefully have better luck
5- Safety car periods?
Two probably, Suzuka is often entertaining
6- Best new team driver?
Glock
7- Kobayashis performance?
Running top of the midfield with Liuzzi
8- Heidfeld-points?
That would be great

1- Pole and winner? Alonso, Hamilton
2- Who will lead the WDC after? Hamilton.
3- Which team will lead the championship after? RBR
4- Is Ferraris form going to hold or will we see a festival of energy drinks? Festival of Energy Drinks (excluding Monster).
5- Safety car periods? nah.
6- Best new team driver? Heidfeld
7- Kobayashis performance? 10-13th
8- Heidfeld-points? 1

1- Pole and winner? Alonso, Kubica

4- Is Ferraris form going to hold or will we see a festival of energy drinks? Mixed. Red energy drinks
5- Safety car periods? No, Suzuka has good runoff areas and crew
6- Best new team driver? Kovalainen
7- Kobayashis performance? DNF
8- Heidfeld-points? Not yet

1- Pole and winner?
Webber & uh..Webber (At least, I dearly hope so! :prays to no deity in particular: )

2- Who will lead the WDC after?
See above.

3- Which team will lead the championship after?
Red Bull, of course.

4- Is Ferraris form going to hold or will we see a festival of energy drinks?
Aforementioned festival: I tip Alonso for third and Massa for fifth/sixth. They may be split by one or both McLarens.

5- Safety car periods?
A couple due to Suzuka biting a couple of the newbies, and maybe one due to a least one overtaking move going completely wrong.

6- Best new team driver?
Kobayashi FTW!

7- Kobayashis performance?
Top 10 at least. Hope to see some nice banzai (yet successful) overtaking moves from him. Although it would be easier if he still had that Toyota under him.

8- Heidfeld-points?
Almost. I think he might be in line for points only to be involved in a race-ending incident. I hope not, but he seems to get caught up in these things whether it's his fault or not. I feel for the guy. :-(

Guys and gals I think "Best new team driver" refers to the 3 new teams, HRT, Virgin and Lotus, of which neither Button or Kobayashi are part :p

Karun Chandhok will win cos everyone else will crash in a giant fireball. Honestly, this track is so dreadfully shit I couldn't care less.

Also, probably 100% of the F1 grid disagrees with you completely.

Oh, right, there's some questions.

1- Pole and winner?

Pole for Vettel, win for Webber helped by another SV brainfade under pressure.

2- Who will lead the WDC after?

Webber.

3- Which team will lead the championship after?

Red Bull.

4- Is Ferraris form going to hold or will we see a festival of energy drinks?

It might be close to a RB walkover, but Ferrari's form compared to McLaren is going to stand. They'll be a close second.

5- Safety car periods?

One or two.

6- Best new team driver?

Glock will have some scores to settle with this place. Watch for him, he'll be fired up mightily.

7- Kobayashis performance?

Points while riding on a wave of patriotic furore.

8- Heidfeld-points?

If Schuey doesn't trip over him again, possible.

Sadly I live in 2010. Why ride on the old glory when it won't be like that again?

Respect history or the present won't respect you. This track is a mighty piece of tarmac, and with the right elements of car and driver psychology it can always throw up a cracker of an event. Please stop being so pessimistic.

The potential is always there. It's all a matter of a few things falling into place.

It's a great track, IMO. I Reckon that McLaren will be back as well both considering the updates and the fact that this track will suit their car better than Singapore.

and its not because he is a bad driver, its because even though he is listed as Indian we all know by now that he is actually American. Us americans just suck at complex stuff like...cars.

Ham first, Alonso third, Web DNF or puncture. Not too extreme I say.

I'll just be pleasantly surprised if it ends up being a good race instead. :)

1 - Alonso, Vettel
2 - Webber
3 - RBR
4 - it'll be tough for them, track layout and car performances suggests this will be an RBR 1-2....but so have a few other tracks and they didn't capitalise.
5 - nah
6 - Kovy
7 - stunning qualy, crash in race
8 - maybe...the Sauber has been decent at times this year
