Right, two weeks until Le Mans and one week until official scrutineering starts in the Place des Jacobins in the center of Le Mans. The big event of the year in endurance racing is almost upon us, so... this thread should be for everything related to Le Mans itself now.

Entry list: http://www.lemans.org/wpphpFichiers...ans/reglements/2011-engages-24h-auto-2011.pdf

Scrutineering schedule: http://www.lemans.org/wpphpFichiers...ay-administrative-checkings-scrutineering.pdf

Timetable of race week: http://www.lemans.org/fr/courses/24h/infos-pratique/horaires.html

Weather forecasts at the moment predict relatively high temperatures, compared to the chilly nature of the test day. Audi were faster in the colder conditions at that time, Peugeot were faster at Spa on a hot day, so it'll be interesting to see how the balance swings between these two.

So... the major stories: Audi vs. Peugeot (round 16) in LMP1, everyone vs. everyone and his dog in GTE. Bring it on! :D

Personally, I'm backing the Pugs in P1 and the Porsches in GTE.

Can't wait ! Looks like I have to watch ''Truth in 24'' again to get myself fired up for the big week....

Nice, thanks for that. They are putting a lot more on air than I thought they would. Can't complain about that.

Great stuff, that's my habit as well a weekend before the race!

Some other race resources:
Andy Blackmoore created a spotter guide for this year's race as well, definitely worth a check: http://spotterguides.com/

Radio Le Mans will broadcast their LMP1 preview tomorrow, GTE preview can be found on their site (http://www.radiolemans.com)

Yes - in the general sense - Mulsanne Straight - w00t (Even following the modification, premium on breakes).

Not quite as nice as the sound of the old V12, but...

:jawdrop:

I am an Audi fanboy! Go Audi!

Peugeots are looking strong again, let's see if they can keep their cars running all the way to the end this time. If they do this years race should be Peugeot's.

Just watched free practice but I'm still a newbie to LeMans (I watched it a bit last year) can everyone give me a really short heads up on the structure of the weekend please?
