2011 Endurance Racing Thread

Gunter said he hit the pedal and caused the tires to immediately lock up. He couldn't do anything.

EDIT: If you watch the replay, you can see him hitting the brakes but not slowing down. When he tried to brake again he locked up and was on a collision course to the Mazda. When he hit the Mazda, his hood came flying up against the windshield. If he had tried to steer, he probably would've rolled the car. Plus, he was probably going so fast he wouldn't have been able to steer that well.

Does anyone else think that we will have a GT overall winner at some point in the ALMS this year?

I dont think so now that the small AER Mazda now has some decent reliability (it finished Sebring!). For the rest of the season there will now be two Lola Mazdas and a AMR Lola so I dont really see it happening.

So the Risi tried to get in front of the BMW before he had the space? Seems like a silly error :\

Don't think this was posted before. If only it went as fast as it sounds:

Mark the date in your calendar for next year, Le Mans 2012 takes place on June 16-17. And considering what the latest F1 calendar proposal looked like, it seems as though, with the WEC and everything, the FIA has made an effort to prevent Le Mans from clashing with any GP. :D

Marked and booked :p.
I'm going with a couple of friends...

Now back to this weekend. Pagenaud (Davidsons replacement for this weekend) took pole with almost a second over the Audi of McNish.
