Spied: 2011 LAMBORGHINI Jota

Nope. I don't like it. The Murcielago has a unique look. Its a like a professional hitman. You know, dressed smartly, keeps everything in check and if the situation calls it, can turn very deadly. And as a Murcielago replacement this looks like a Reventon which went through a meat grinder!

Those specs sound really good! I think it would have been better if this was a separate model for track use or something but as a successor for the Murcielago, I think not. It just looks so wrong :(

Although that said is there any official confirmation on this being the actual replacement for the Murcie? Autoblog did say that Lambo would be unveiling a "technology concept" and not the replacement......crosses fingers

Same here hoping that its not the Murcielago replacement.

I have to say it looks insane from the side view, but the front's not clean enough in my opinion. They should get rid of those lines on the bonnet. I'm sure it'll grow on me.

The more I look at it, the more I love it. I didn't take kindly to Zondas being more insane than Lambo and this makes the Lambos even more crazy without looking like boiled warts!

IT'S NOT THE JOTA AND NOT ANY KIND OF MURCIELAGO REPLACEMENT AT ALL. JUST A CONCEPT.

I DON'T CARE I WANT IT.

No, it's not the Jota, probably the Gallardo replacement. The Jota is to have a sleek body design similar to the Murcielago, not any of this hardcore shit and it'll be powered by a 700+hp V12, not a V10.

Edit: Did everyone forget that this concept looks absolutely nothing like the Jota prototype spyshots?

Sory for the double post, but I have some new info:

Two Lamborghini Jota prototypes were spotted near the N?rburgring circuit. One with a rear spoiler and one without.

The one with the spoiler is likely the Superleggera variant as the moniker was spotted by our spy photographers on some of the car's equipment.

Although this is test week at N?rburgring, these two Lambo prototypes are already being loaded on trucks and sent home to Italy. Maybe there's more work to be done before the Jota replaces the Murcielago. But we've already seen shots of both hot-weather and winter testing of Jota, so perhaps its introduction will be sooner than it appears.

From what we know, the Jota will stand a little lower than the Murcielago and weight less too given its make-up of an aluminum space frame and carbon fiber body components.

Powering the Jota will be a direct-injection V12 of around 700 horsepower hooked up to a Haldex all-wheel drive system. Design cues will be borrowed from the Estoque and Reventon.

[UPDATE] A third prototype was spotted on the N?rburgring later the same day with a Gallardo chase vehicle. 12 photos added to article.

I don't even know why that concept is in this thread; I think a new thread should be made for it, since it's clearly not the Jota.

Yep, the car on the spy pics looks much larger.

I look at that and I think, what the hell did you just do to that Gallardo. Take it away.

Hahah this looks like a car from a racing game in the late 90's when they had very low polygon count. Everything is edgy.

On second thought, it does look like an Italdesign Cala that has drowned in a pool of carbon-fiber.

I think they started with a good shape and they just went psychotic on the detailing. Its now just an overstyled mess.

I'm hoping they don't want to show everything in one day... and they'll show it soon:cry:

same here waiting for it from the moment I saw first spy shot. . please show it lamborghini and with a proper V12
