If you plan on doing enough long trips in your car for 10.5 gallons to be a nuisance, you shouldn’t be looking at a 500 to begin with. 😂

Woo hoo! A part showed up. Will it fix the problem? Who knows, it’s in now, battery cable unplugged for a couple minutes while the ecu is wiped.

The goods

now, as a buyer of genuine Mopar parts, you’d expect the gasket to come with, right?

Haha, nope! Thanks! That was my focus for this!

So, I was being too overenthusiastic with "lets fix the HVAC illumination, it's not hard to do."

RIGHT

Because Fiat used incandesecent bulbs in plastic fixtures, mounted to plastic with plastic clips, the heat from the bulbs over time cooked the plastic making it brittle, I pulled the bulbs out, tried pushing new bulbs in (they are the wedge type) and managed to push the fixtures clear through the HVAC controls breaking the plastic clips. Way 2 go. :|

So that's not getting fixed.

I don't think there is any other way. I've even had to use my horn a few times for drivers who swerve into my lane.

But that sort lane changing is also quite common here, hopping over 3 lanes is sport.

That sounds a lot like the 1.6 I had. They must be related.

1.4 FIRE. Such an optimistic name, unless they're implying what could happen to the car. :D

yes yes, I know it means what @Perc wrote.
