Looks great, actually. Hope it's more interesting to drive than the Kia Venga.

It looks like a Peugeot a bit. And it's brown. Yet I like it.

Just to make sure I'm understanding this right, it's a Fiesta-based, sliding-rear-door "people carrier" with a slightly larger cargo area than the fiesta, right? And the C-Max is the same, but built on the....Focus platform?

Exactly.

That's pretty much what the European Ford Fusion should have always been.

This. If it had been it wouldn't have been the preserve of pensioners and beige people in general.

Oh and Ford? Got a guy from Gaydon on the 'phone. They want their front grille back.

Over-fucking-styled. What is the fuss all about is beyond me. Every crease has it's own crease and the dash...god almighty.

Yeah, I'm not really a fan of the dash either. But it's not worse than in the Fiesta. Probably because it's the same ("cell-phone"-)design.

Not bad looking BUT...a mini-van that seats five - why don't you just get a station wagon or even a hatchback?

Well, easier access to the back seats with the sliding doors, and the less "sporty" roofline compared to the hatchback is slightly more practical for cargo space, as well as rear headroom.

looks ok, dash is a little over done though.
I wish they would come up with another design for wheels. I mean these look good (I should know I do have a set), they also looked good on the original Focus ST and just about every other model out there but c'mon...

Nobody noticed the lack of a b-pillar? Pretty neat, but not that useful unless you want to ride somalistyle.

More commanding seating position than a wagon/hatch: I know enthusiasts prefer low, but its easier to get older people in and out of something where the seats are chair height. Same with getting kids into car seats, and even mainstream younger buyers prefer sitting higher now.

Sliding doors: Never having to deal with the fear (or reality) of careless child induced door dings and dents is a beautiful thing, plus as NecroJoe mentioned, the opening is wider on a slider.

More flexible seating: It doesn't show in the concept, but it wouldn't surprise me to see the rear seat mounted onto sliding rails that allow users to slide it forward for more cargo or rearward for more legroom. Only hatch that I know of that can do that that's sold new is the Toyota Yaris.

It's been done before, for years you could get Chrysler vans in 5 seat models, and Mitsubishi sold their Expo LRV 5 passenger "mini" minivan here for a while. (along with their Chrysler branded captive import variants)

Interesting, I especially like the seats.
