A lot (if not all) is down to the incredible gearbox. We had it on a dynamometer at my University a while ago to do some. While I was not involved with the project, news quickly spread about the brutality of the thing. In an early test the thing broke the crankshaft of the BMW V8 it was attached to, by just changing gears in corsa mode under full throttle. On the other hand, they concluded that it's speed would also be it's biggest weakness: Those shifttimes aren't exactly easy on the thing itsself.
User name dontblogaboutus, testing Lamborghini gearboxes with BMW engines. Say, you wouldn't happen to be working for or have worked for BMW previously, would you?
I think it's more appropriate to compare a first gen. Murc. with a first gen. Aventador. Cant wait for lighter, more focused version of the Aventador btw.
