2016 German Grand Prix

Aero is incredibly important to "the real world" assuming the "real world" is road cars but even else where it's incredibly important. Downforce makes every bit as much difference to a sports car being faster as a Formula 1 car. Whenever Ferrari bring out a new car these days they point out the aero improvements over the last car. In other cars a more slippery car means a more fuel efficient car, a more stable car at speed etc. etc.
McLaren's cars a littered with innovations developed in formula 1 many which were banned they were so effective, the 488 GTB has a blown diffuser... I think.

Besides it's not like Nascar is making things better for road cars, they also have no correlation, Indy still runs on methanol as far as I can remember.

nascar is almost a spec series, very few things that are free...

I'm loving WEC - it is like having the WSC Group C back.

I enjoy WRC for the insanity of running so fast in such narrow confines, but it tends to suffer from the same thing F1 does - the German factory team (VW in this case) wins unless they break.

And GP2 has been really solid this year, as well.

Still love F1, anyway. :)

vettel amost forgot the last lap
