540 hp? Oh man, is Audi still doing this V10 and V10 plus bullshit? Where just via software the car can get nearly 600hp? Audi.de tells me the difference is 26.000 (!) Euros, so I wonder what exactly they change between the models. Cause in the past it wasn't a lot.

Not much of a difference, not for street use anyway

Neither is 10% more power, to be fair.

Nor is holding the car back by 10+ % just controlling the throttle body for 26 grand

Why is the car in Deutsche Post yellow?

10%, when we are talking about a car with 540hp, is quite a lot.

My first car had this much power!

Aside from styling and other subjectives, I'm not sure if I'll ever understand the point of a detuned Huracan. The Lambo doesn't cost *that* much more.

You are just looking at the wrong R8 then. The V10 Plus has the same 610hp version of the V10 that you can find in the Huracan with the not-so-coincidental name LP 610(-4). With the same gearbox. And many other R8 bits. Hell, they put the chassis together about 70km from here at Audis factory. The R8 just also happens to come in detuned versions of itself with a slightly less crazy V10.

Fair enough, but I still don't see the point of a detuned version of essentially the same engine. AMG does the same dumb thing with the C63 and C63 S. It triggers my OCD.
