[That American Girl]

The winter weather is causing floods, road & rail closures and general chaos.
We don't do weather very well here.

I thought a lot of Surrey was flooded. Isn't the track near there? Or are my map skills that bad???

The track is in Surrey, but not in a badly hit area. The orange patches below are flood alerts, but there are no actual warnings anywhere nearby. Bit like me - there's a few roads flooded less than a mile away, but I'm not actually affected (?effected) myself.
