Saturday 28th of May @ 7pm GMT 0:00 S2 Alpha Demo

General Rules
1. You can only join if you are a serious racer. We are here for fun and we don't need childish wreckers.
2. You need a legal copy of the game. Demo will do for the first couple of races, almost everyone has the full version already. Later on we will be playing the full version online.^
3. If you keep fucking up the race, like forgetting to brake in every corner or anything like that. I'll kick your butt ;-)

Racing Rules

1. If you want to overtake the car in front of you, honk the horn once.
2. If you are being overtaken, go to the either side of the track. just don't be in the way.
3. If you want to let the person behind you know he can overtake you, use the double turn-signal and go to either side of the track.
If you don't have turn-signals mapped, do it.
4. If you see a person behind you that is faster and wants to overtake, let him. Don't ignore him and think you can be faster.
Turn on the blinker and let him pass. You may even want to slow down a bit so you two won't end up in a corner side by side.
5. Don't use other people as a guide-rail in corners. If you can't keep up, don't ruin it for them.
6. If someone accidently hits you and you end up in the grass, don't plan on revenge. Nobody is out to kill your fun.
7. Overtaking in corners is a thing you should decide for yourself, as long as you don't violate rule number 5 it's fine.
Slower cars can take the corner wide so faster people can overtake on the inner side.
8. No alcohol is allowed.
9. Have fun!

i got exams the week after, but maybe i'll join for an hour or 2 :)

btw... who was that chicken dude?... can he just make a post here, I have never seen him post before  ... and  , we have a new racer :D

Can't wait till S2 comes out :D I wanna race all the new tracks and drive the Formula cars :) Which cars do you lot race? I'm pretty shoddy in the GT-T but I've had plenty of practice in the GT and the GTI and have decent setups for both so I've got a 2 in 3 chance of being OK ;)

What are your best times so far btw? I can't remember mine exactly, but I think there something like

1:35.6 in the GTI

and

1:34.9 in the GT

wow dude, you are officially THE FASTEST here. we always race GT or GTI, feel free to chose, but never turbo. majority runs on gt though.
we have a few racers (including me  ) who run occasionally 1:35s. but during races with traffic etc, most often its 1:36s. however all the members (except UKD :p ) are competitive, cos everyone car run a 1:37 which is enough to hold up faster people behind you, which makes things interesting

cant wait to see a 1:34 lap from you ;) this week's race looks promising :)

I don't think I'm going to make it to this race, but maybe the one after that. Hopefully by then I will have mastered S2 :). You guys are great to race with, but unfortunately I needed quite a bit more practice...

not exactly... I am running 1:37's and I have MXM tailing my ass into and out of every corner... the only way I hold him is if he tries to dive down the inside... I take the full racing like and hit the inner apex  , sorry about doing that so many times MXM... I didn't want to loose my 2nd and 3rd places

I can do 1:38/9's in S1 but I cant even get close to that in s2. (gti)

do you have the new patch for S2... because they increased the Horsepower in the GTi... therefore it should be quicker, I only switched to the GTi after they did it and with a little practicing, I'm in the 1:37's

No worries, that's what makes it interesting. One defensive move is always permitted :)
Of course there's no need go over the top and hang on your position like your life depends on it, not paying attention to opponents at all, like some people *cough*swek*cough* sometimes do

yup... sorry I have to say this swek, but sometimes you get a little defensive and you end up costing both of our places... I have a replay of you blocking me left and right down the straight

nutty get a good setup mate!!!!!! www.teaminferno.hu !!!!

andy i think when someone's in your tail you are not only allowed, but should take a tighter line ;) i think its much more fun that way, cos that way its a challange to climb up one place in the grid :) would make no sense if you pulled over at the straight and let the person behind you pass you

for some reason i always crack under pressure and make very very stupid mistakes and run wide all the time. the only person i can more or less handle at my back is mancs, cos i raced with him a gazillion times, and sort of know more or less what to expect from him. but when mxm or espn is in tail i always mess up

but i notice its more or less the same with mxm, when someone's behind him pushing it, or when someone's spectating and watching him he also messes up :D

Yes, I do like to make it as hard as possible to overtake me sometimes. And yes sometimes it ends in disaster. The difference for me is that I only do that kind of stuff if someone is pushing from behind.
I can't follow the logic. If you're pushing, your opponent should make room and let you pass. What kind of racing is that ?

but AFAIK... in racing, the general rule for the straight is you are only allowed to make one blocking move and after that if the opponent is still faster than you, he can overtake you... if you go left and right blocking the whole way, then theres no point coming out the corner quicker, going into the slipstream and overtaking while on the straight... plus swek, bear in mind that when I overtake you on the straight, usually by the end of the straight, I am on the inside and therefore you will still be at an advantage, plus blocking on the straights usually ends in disaster, generally for me if the opponent is marginally faster than me coming out the corner and tries to overtake, after the next corner, you should still be in front anyway because you can take the next corner alot faster than him

Okay point taken. Anyhow I find it quite strange that my behaviour on the straits gets mentioned, while you guys seem to be okay with everyone elses sometimes ludacris overtaking maneuvres in the chicans. I absolutely never try to ram my way through the corners like some people do. I even brake in the chicanes to give room for slower or faster people if they're on the racing line. I find it a bit pointless to overtake in such a menacing way by all means. I can't even remember how many times I've been rammed in a corner because someone thought that he could outbreak me in the in-or outside. I think those are the situations where most of the unneccesary crashes happen.
