365 Dream Cars

Mercedes M Class
and
2003 Honda Imas

Correct

2001 Mercedes-Benz ML55 AMG

C/D SPECS

BASE PRICE: $66,545
ENGINE: 5.4-liter SOHC 24-valve V-8
HORSEPOWER: 342 @ 5500 rpm
TORQUE: 476 @ 3000 rpm

With 342 horsepower, this is the sport-ute for Porsche owners in search of luggage space.

and

2003 Honda IMAS Concept

The sporty IMAS was a further development on Honda?s hybrid gasoline-electric Insight. Its sleek body had a fantastic 0.20 drag coefficient, which meant it could cut through the air effortlessly. It weighed only 1540 pounds, and Honda estimated it could go 94 miles on one gallon of gas.

Here's the weekend quickies:

aston matrin DB7 obviously, cadillac (i'm not sure if this is the new V <0 to 60 in 5 secs> or just an old badge).

for the red one i was tempted to say campagna T Rex but its not. i know i've seen it before but no idea what the name is.

is that second one a plymouth prowler?

The weekend quickies were:

1996 Mitsubishi Gaus Concept
1995 Pontiac Sunfire

and

Cadillac
Aston Martin

Here's four big ones to start the week off:

http://img200.imageshack.**/img200/855/3650780om.jpg

I think I can figure out an Aston Martin Badge on the first one, the second one reminds me on the YES Roadster - early developmental car of some kind? The third one looks great but I can't even think of a brand it could be whereas the fourth car clearly is a Volvo - 2004YCC perhaps? (that car specially designed for women according o Volvo)

well, at least someone had a go - thank you mautzel :)

the answers were:

1969-72 Aston Martin DBS V-8

Some say the DBS was a sign of Aston's falling fortunes. Despite Aston's well-deserved sporting reputation, the DBS was not well received. Much of the problem was the DBS's carryover chassis, which borrowed heavily from the older DB6 and was thus outclassed in refinement and speed.

1999 Honda Spocket Concept

Webster's dictionary defines the verb
rocket as "to travel rapidly." Not only does rocket rhyme with Spocket, but it also perfectly describes the way Honda designed this little jewel to hustle down the road. Could this concept signal the return of the pocket rocket?

2001 Honda Kiwami Concept

In Japanese, kiwami means ?ultimate,? and Honda said this lightweight sports sedan represented the ?ultimate in fun cars.? Its hybrid gasoline-electric powertrain was mounted low in the roomy four-passenger body for a low center of gravity. It sure looked cool, and if we ever drive it, we?ll comment on the fun part.

2003 Volvo Versatility Concept Car Concept

This was perhaps not the most exciting-looking concept, but the VCC debuted features we?ll likely see on upcoming Volvos. It had an interior-air filter, roof-mounted solar cells to power a ventilation system that kept the car cool when parked, and a key fob that kept tabs on the car while the owner was away.

Here's a whole load seeing as I haven't posted in a while:

Citroen SM
Mazda 323 / Familia
BMW 8 Series
VW Golf MkIV (modified)
Ferrari 512TR
Audi RS6

Full score? :)

btw, the VW golf is the Neuspeed Golf from the Car and Driver shootout

well it is still a modified golf :p
and mazda 323 = mazda protege

just gotta be more specific  :p

yea, i'll still give you full points ;)

1971 Citro?n SM

In 1971, Citro?n partnered with Maserati to make this unique-looking coupe. Maserati supplied a 180-hp V-6, and the rest of the car was standard-issue Citro?n. It had an air-oil suspension that reportedly gave a comfy ride, and an electric motor automatically straightened the steering wheel after a turn.

2000 Mazda Proteg?

Hot rodders are not about understated elegance. Take this Proteg?. Its spoilers are one curb whack away from disaster, and that paint screams, "Here I am, officer!" Ballistic Unlimited, a screen-printing company, built this car to promote its services, and at the 2000 SEMA show, it took best-Mazda honors.

1994 BMW 850CSi

C/D SPECS

BASE PRICE: $108,395
ENGINE: 5.6-liter SOHC 24-valve V-12
HORSEPOWER: 372 @ 5300 rpm
TORQUE: 402 @ 4000 rpm
TRANSMISSION: 6-speed manual
0-60 MPH: 5.3 sec

? The 1994 CSi model was by far the quickest, most entertaining BMW 850 ever built.

2000 Neuspeed Volkswagen GTI

The original 1983 GTI was an economy car that could outrun Camaros. But until we drove this Neuspeed version, we thought the hot hatch had gone soft. Although it didn?t have the juice to smoke a Camaro, the Neuspeed GTI did have fantastic brakes and a precise chassis that made swift driving a joy.

1993 Ferrari 512TR

Perhaps the perfect symbol of late-20th-century excess, the TR had it all?a massive flat-12 engine, a ground-pounding stance, a $100,000 price tag, and the wildest side louvers ever seen on a production car. Although these are very drivable cars, the owner of this one uses it sparingly because ?I?d lose my license.?

2003 Audi RS 6

C/D ROAD TEST

BASE PRICE: $84,660
ENGINE: twin-turbocharged and intercooled 4.2-liter, 40-valve V-8
HORSEPOWER: 450 @ 5700 rpm
TORQUE: 415 @ 1950 rpm
TRANSMISSION: 5-speed auto
0-60 MPH: 4.4 sec

? With almost 500 horsepower and standard four-wheel drive, Audi built the sports sedan of our dreams.

Well, he gets points off for misspelling "Hyundai" ( :x ), but then again, it's Hyundai, so nobody cares ( 8) ).
