Next weekend is RWD time. RR and MR to be more precise. ;)

We never raced these cars before, so it's high time we do. Track is Blackwood, to make things a bit easier.

Setups available as usual on inferno. With those setups the times are as follows.

RAC -> 1:20.060
FZ50 -> 1:19.650

edit: ***LX6 a choice as well! ***

LX6 -> 1:19.460

Not much of a difference, the question will be:
1, Which can you handle better, MR or RR
2, Tire wear

Depending on how many people turn up, it's gonna be either a 40 or 50lap race.

Have fun practicing (and do so because these car's do bite)! See ya guys next week!!!

I'm guessing MR cars are more balanced... but when I took the car to the photoshoot just now... you have to be very gentle with the throttle :D

I haven't tried any yet... have exams on mon, tue, wed and thu :D

Well, good luck, then. I'll have a quick dash to find which one is easier.

RAC and FZ50... eeew :yucky: ... :lol:

By your reaction, I guess this one will beat low attendance records...

Those cars rule!
I don't know which one to choose though. I have raced with a RAC before, but I think FZ5 is a bit more stable and easier to control.

Eheeem, look at ESPN's racer profile on lfsworld and see how many hotlaps he has done with the fz50. :lol:
He's gonna kick our ass really badly. :)

0 hot laps in the FZ50... :unsure: the FZ50 GTR though... :)
From what I remember (and this is quite a while ago), the FZ50 handles nothing like the FZ50 GTR though.

Hmm, for some reason I thought you had also fz50 hotlaps... :? Nm.

Dunno how the setups are for the cars, but from what I've raced them so far (and that's not really much) I like RAC better. But well, gotta do some testing. :)

I vaguely remember that, too. Like it has the rear wheels on ice, the engine in the back doing nothing to help traction...

FZ50 is crazy. Didn't see a decent setup for it yet. It understeers and oversteers at same time. RAC is in my opinion much worse "over the limit" but more stable before the limit :) In other words, it's easier to keep it in line, but when you loose it - you loose it.

this should be interesting :D... cuz if you are overtaking and you push it too close to the limit... you are history :D

Hmmm, you could take LX6, since its also in the exact same time range.

LX6 with setup from inferno -> 1:19.460

Kart is too slow though, 1:23.870.

I was thinking also about FB Club with Kart, we can do that next time or so, because we also didn't race cart.

:lol: Ok, crazy "sob"s, this week... I'll have to see which one is easier. As I'll be last, I want to be last but without too many pit stops...

The RA is the easiest at limit but pushed it beyond that and you are gone. The FZ250 is tail happy and understeer happy. The LX6 just plain will eat you alive if you don't have a perfect lap :).

Hope that helps.

My test run results:

RAC -> ok-ish, but very unstable, can't keep it in straight line
FZ50 -> Eats rubber like hell, tail happy, too tail happy
LX6 -> Nice balance in corners, corner exit very very problematic, very throttle sensitive

I'm trying to tweak LX6 setup now to make it more stable at corner exit. Tire wear much less than FZ50 though, so thats a plus point.
