Saturday 4th of June @ 7pm GMT 0:00 S2 Alpha Demo

General Rules
1. You can only join if you are a serious racer. We are here for fun and we don't need childish wreckers.
2. You need a legal copy of the game. Demo will do for the first couple of races, almost everyone has the full version already. Later on we will be playing the full version online.^
3. If you keep fucking up the race, like forgetting to brake in every corner or anything like that. I'll kick your butt ;-)

Racing Rules

1. If you want to overtake the car in front of you, honk the horn once.
2. If you are being overtaken, go to the either side of the track. just don't be in the way.
3. If you want to let the person behind you know he can overtake you, use the double turn-signal and go to either side of the track.
If you don't have turn-signals mapped, do it.
4. If you see a person behind you that is faster and wants to overtake, let him. Don't ignore him and think you can be faster.
Turn on the blinker and let him pass. You may even want to slow down a bit so you two won't end up in a corner side by side.
5. Don't use other people as a guide-rail in corners. If you can't keep up, don't ruin it for them.
6. If someone accidently hits you and you end up in the grass, don't plan on revenge. Nobody is out to kill your fun.
7. Overtaking in corners is a thing you should decide for yourself, as long as you don't violate rule number 5 it's fine.
Slower cars can take the corner wide so faster people can overtake on the inner side.
8. No alcohol is allowed.
9. If you think these rules are too much, just use COMMON SENSE.
10. Have fun!

im in pobably just for 1-2hours though, exams time the week after

ESPNSTI: Are you going to the Formula One race? /me slaps ESPNSTI sillly

Just so we don't have problems with administration on my server, would someone send me the LFS server config who has already hosted before?

Josty: Would it be easier to put the server and password in the first post so people know where to go?

Yeah that would be easier, it's ok if people from FinalGear know the pass and servername, it's just to prevent people who have nothing to do not from joining and wrecking.

You'll see lots of hot cars in downtown Montreal that city! 8) take some pics for us!

so ... to make the weekend races more interesting i suggest to play not only bw but rally and rally reversed ... i think it would be fun coz noone knows so much that track and theres more action ... more technical ... braking, handbraking, slideing ... im looking forward for your oppinions ... i realy want to play a rally saturday ... so ... whos in?

i'd also suggest that we include a little rally in our "agenda" ;)
we did a couple of laps with gti and mancs and a bunch of ai-s, and its quite ok :)

for some reason most of the people get scared when we switch from bw standard to sth else, either to a longer race, or to bw reverse or so...

i'd suggest something like this for the weekly races.

- warmup with the track everyone knows: bw standard, 5 lap races as usual.
- then we maybe do 1-2longer races on bw standard, say 10-15laps (if there are enough people, with less then 6-7people long races are not fun)
- after this we do the same with rally standard, do a few 5 lap races, and maybe 1-2longer races (could be interesting since tire wear is quick)
- and then we do the same type of thing for bw reverse and rally reverse.

this way we have a lot of diversity, short race, long races, rally short, rally long, bw reversed, long version of it, rally reversed.

i think it would make the races more fun and more exciting, rather then simply do 500 5lap races on bw standard, and then as soon as someone says lets do reverse, most people get scared, noo, i dont know the track, i suck at bw reversed...blah-blah, and leaave the game :(

I've tried it with the laptop touchpad and it isn't very fun  , btw... I just realized if you did the clutching on your own, you go round quicker, anyone agree with that?... now I can do consistent 1:36.5, pb is 1:36.15, 1:35 Here I come :D

^ thats a fact ;)

manual clutch is much faster. too bad i cant use that cos if i program it on one of the small buttons on my wheel its damn uncomfartable

^Haha I don't do the timezones anymore, no more list of people who are in, because not everyone remembered to race, and some other people joined too.
