Whitesnake - Here I Go Again
REO Speedwagon - Keep On Loving You
Van Halen - Why Can't This Be Love
Starship - Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now
Bon Jovi - living on a prayer
Journey - Don't Stop Believin`
Nena - 99 Luftballons
Apart from the fact that it would be music by the Human League, the Thompson Twins and Soft Cell. You can't go wrong with the Human League or the Thompson Twins. Soft Cell's "Tainted Love" is a classic as well.
I wouldn't really call Madness' music ska. I think they started out that way, but pretty quickly changed tack. The Specials are more representative IMO, although Madness might be more representative of the 80s generally. Also, change things up a bit with Madness if you like ska. Dexy's Midnight Runners is pleasantly oddball. Spandau Ballet (True, Gold) is pretty good too.
Quite some stuff mid and even end of the 90ies there ... just saying. This first one is a must:[...]
