^ You don't like one of those crazy guitar solos once and a while?

i love crazy guitar solos, but not from bands like poision or guns n roses :)

While pink floyd did put out some CDs in the 80s, I don't consider it "80s music".

okay, timeless music then. But The Wall wasnt very non-80s rock, so why wouldnt it fit in here?
just because you (apparently) dont like it very much?

I think Pink Floyd is one of the best rock bands ever, but their style would not fit into the "80s rock genre" nor would Dire Sraits. Classic rock is a better fit.

80s Rock is bands like Poison, Def Leppard, Guns n Roses, Motely Crue, etc. There's not much similiarlarity between these bands and Pink Floyd, aside from they fact that they all use guitars ;)

33: Believe - Cher
3: Outside - George Michael

Hahahaha did just just copy your playlist?
:D

I love 80's music, so here's what I think's good:

Roxette, She's got the Look, Sleeping in my Car
Queen, various
Guns and Roses, Welcome to the Jungle
Scorpions, Wind of Change
INXS, Need you Tonight, New Sensation
REM, various
Phil Collins, Sussudio
Chesney Hawks, I Am the one and ONLY - im actually not sure whether this is an 80's or not :)

Hehe I think this is a very nice thread

It isn't, and neither are Wind of Change and Sleeping in my Car.

Dunno if rock but guitar solos are a plenty...

Anything really from Stevie ray Vaughan
Yngvie Malmsteen - Blue, Fire and Ice, Heaven Tonight, Miracle of life (from his more melodic side...)
ZZ To- La Grange, Tush

And if we are talking aot Ronny Dio let's not forget Gates of Babylon

Anyway those are a fe of the top of my head...

whitesnake: here i go again

i love that song
