2003 VW Beetle, 2017 Abarth Fiat 500c
So the car finally came today.
It is blue and an automatic, so judging by Wikipidia it is not the SVT one.
This makes me sad.
Here are some pictures from the crappy camera I got from the condo.

crappy camera will not fit car in picture well because the pictures are odd shaped.

one clear headlight and one foggy one.

Apparently it is an SE model.

It seems to have been slightly on fire at some point. Let me tell you it is nasty in there. I stinks of smoke and there is no way that is ever getting clean. I think half the seats and all the rugs need to be ripped out before I could stand to drive it very long. Cigarette smell makes me dizzy.

One seat has a cover, which I am afraid to take off because I bet it was so bad he couldn't stand to sit on it any more.

This is the engine bay. Who is smart on such things and can tell me which engine this is.

All that is full of trash from the car. It was awful.

If it's the 4 cylinder then it has a ztec motor similar to the ones you find the Focus. It's probably the same.

I'm looking for a car for my friend. If you wanna get rid of it I'd like to see it. Or help you clean it. I have stuff to buff out the headlight and clean the interior.

You don't want to before it is cleaned LOL. It is seriously disgusting and even post cleaning will be nasty.

Whoever installed left headlights at Ford in the late '90s was hopeless, my old car had the same thing.

Yeah I've noticed that on a lot of cars of that age.

Bah. You'd be surprised what you can do w/some water, woolite, brush & magic eraser for an interior.

The headlight is just an hour or so of wetsanding & a quick hit w/the buffer. Or go to the local junkyards in Billerica and get a new one.

The head light is no issue, I have a buffer in the garage. The upholstery is ruined though, you are NOT going to get that out. There are like melted on candy bars and burn marks. I don't know if it's worth it to me to even sell because a good one of those is worth 3,000 tops so this is worth maybe 1,000. It may be worth more to me as "thing that is car and moves" then as money.

Wait, who's car is this and what's the purpose? Your Beetle isn't borked and your mom hopefully didn't buy it.

/hasn't been paying attention to what's been going on in the world of katwalk.
About a week ago my father died. This is my second car of death. (the bug was my grandma's)

At this point I don't know it the car even counts as ours yet because he has debt and we don't know how much.

Damn, too late (and MPG probably too high too) for cash for clunkers.

^ yeah I thought of it already, cars that are actual clunkers never qualify for that program.

Well, good news is that it's a facelift "mk2". Bad news is WTF happened to the interior! Judging by what I've heard of your dad, no surprise. :(

I'll just take all the interior out and instead have turbos. That will make it better.

Our state is unfortunately useless and trackless though :(

That engine is a splitting image for the Zetec in my ZX2. Unstoppable little fortress of a motor. Pretty powerful for being American, too.

Rip out the interior, find a 5spd (any Focus, ZX2, and probably the escort sedans should have one that'll work) and have some retarded FWD fun.

Oops, I was still thinking of North Carolina. Never mind. OK then, LeMons when it next comes through, if it's eligible.

^ I was really hoping too :( I am sooo pissed it's another slush box. At least I can shift the bug.
