Normally, I photograph aircraft for a website (airliners.net). So, when I heard about "Roar N' Soar" I packed up the RX8 and drove the 100 miles or so to get to "Fantasy of Flight", a place that is basically a huge ass storage place for some rich guy's aircraft that he lets the public go in and see for a tax write off. I knew that there'd be a few aircraft there, but I didn't know that when I showed up, the lighting on the runway due to an overhead sun would be awful for the shots I normally would need, so instead I got to walking around the grounds of the event. Its an event based on the celebration of the "vintage age of all things racing", from aircraft to boats to cars. I rarely shoot cars, but decided to give it a try. Mixed results were had :|

Here is an HHR that had been modified to hell:

And a few shots of the slalom course:

The Ford Tri-Motor in the background is the last airworthy one (apparently), and was in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom":

Its weird forcing your self to step out side your comfort zone, I kept on trying to shoot the cars like I shoot aircraft and usually got garbage.

How about a couple more pics of that HHR (Did you mean SSR?)? Either way, it has the potential to be the least ugly example of either in the world...

I did mean SSR, and that was all I shot of it. :/
