Double world champions Loeb and Gr?nholm are joining forces to set up a new WRC team for themselves for next year...

They will be running Citroen cars and the team is backed by Sony.

VERY interesting! I would love to see this become reality. These two guys on the same team with the same cars. Now that would be some racing!

Good news, at least there will be citroens in WRC, but just 4 factory teams is a bit depressing. Are there rumors out there about "new" factory teams?

So, we taking bets on which month next year Citreon announce a full works campaign in 2007? My guess is August.

Loeb v Gronholm in the same car will be very interesting.

I'm just glad to hear that something is at least happening in WRC. It seemed to be dying lately, with teams leaving and stuff...

^ I know. Good news for us fellow WRC fans that there seems to be something happening in the WRC.

I think if this happens this be the team to beat mates.

I think him moving there could help them go back to there glory days, if there new Focus RS rally car does well folks.

I can just imagine the teething problems of a new car driving Gr?nholm insane... He's probably had his share of those with Peugeot.

But if the car works from the get go (would probably be the first one ...ever) then I see no reason why Ford couldn't return to their glory days (1981 their last drivers championship...)

Loeb is da man.

Seriously though, a team that is (somewhat) independant, and has two of the best drivers in WRC.. That would just rock.

But, obviously Gronholm is going the Ford way. I wonder who'll team up with Loeb. It would be great if Sainz made a return.

Or Colin...

Isn't Colin McRae driving for Skoda next year?

Might be, he did Wales and is going Australia for them as well.

He is. He's driving for Skoda next year according to the show from Rally Spain.
