I just found out yesterday that someone took a pretty good pic of my ptCruiser at the drag strip last September and I want to share it with you. :)

I totally smoked that Golf BTW. :p

Is the cruiser modified, if so, what have you done with i?
At that time, it was Stage1 (computer and injector swap) which bumped power to 235hp. and 260lb.ft of torque and the blow off valve upgrade. :)

Other mod not affecting drag racing was upgraded swaybars front and back.
I must say they make for a much better handling ride. :driving:

Since then I have turned up the boost AND expect to have no more wheel hop since I also upgraded motor mounts which should make me a little faster .

But I try to keep the look pretty stock... more like a sleeper. 8)

Oh and about the Golf, it is a 1.8T, stock, with a pretty good driver but more used to rally racing and dirt than launching on the ? mile.

There's no corners!
Didn't you read the title. :?

A friend is about to buy a PT Turbo convertible, automatic though, but she liked the PT Convertible cause it had enough space for 4 ans to haul around paintings, I said to her, you should get the Turbo one with the big engine, she said, sure, I'll take the best one.

Gotta love having money, even though it's a stupid choice IMO.

Way to go off topic Ren... <_<

Personnaly I don't get the convertible, they are two vehicles with the same name but for very different purposes and I would never get one of those.

But getting back to drag racing, that weird concoction of a ragtop will embarass the RX-8 you fancy so much on the ? mile and with an autostick transmission it isn't even hard to do.

It's still ugly as a sin (especially the convertible)

but it's for a 50 year old female, so it's good enough.

Her husband already has something fun to play with, a M Roadster ;)

so their 2nd car has to haul the groceries, and it's an improvement over her current car.. a NEON

you should marry her ;)

I suppose the hardtop Cruiser was purpose-built for racing? The way I see it, a PT Cruiser is lame. Period. If only for the fact that there are about a million other vehicles that are better suited for racing of any kind. I realize that some of us have to work with what they got, and I have no problem with PT owners in general. As long as you have no delusions of this being anything other than a mass-produced, run-of-the-mill mode of transportation.

when roman was to buy the car, everyone here also said he should get sth else.
but he wanted a hatch like car, with enough power, and a BIG trunk for his shutes.
you know a better choice?

i think it's a shame as well, but that's the best car for those demands
