It?s just a door of a 911 and it?s beautiful. A work of art. You can keep the Mona Lisa, I would much rather have this hanging on my wall, give me a Porsche any day.

I went to a classic car show and this guy was selling coffee tables made out of V8 engines. He basically got them from scrap yards, stipped them down, cleaned them up and then fixed a glass table top to them. They looked cool. But I couldn't help thinking, if I wanted one, I could just go and make one myself for a lot less than the ?500 he was charging for them.

Speak for yourselves, you art-blind philistines (well, you are, but I'll ignore that for the time being ). This door is quite the evocative hunk of spunk; the way the window frame is set backward from the front end of the door gives it hints of a side view of a light airplane. Plus the way the frame is extra-heavy along the leading edge of the front glass panel... even the soullessly engineering Germans (kidding, kidding) can put out artistic work.
