I'm a bit of a masochist and I'd love to get myself a 166, but since you fancied an Opel, have you considered one of these?

The wagons are handsome cars.

Problem sorted, I managed to get her an used 1996 BMW 523i E39 from a friend, who bought himself an Passat 3c...
Anyway, it's a beauty, 2.5l 170bhp Automatic which is kinda slow , but only 95k miles and everything works. It has everything except leather seats, HID-lights, sunroof and a satnav, all for just 2000?.

For the same Money you could buy her old Audi A6 from me, 3.0l V6 5V, 220bhp auto, heated leatherseats, and and and... if you want? :D

That's a good choice it's a very solid car. My dad had an E39 520i and it never had any serious issues in say 170 000 km's. The only thing I can remember of was the temp gauge sensor went mad after 160 000 km's.
Edit: Oh, another one on its later days was when you drove it very fast to a bump on a gravel road it dissabled the traction control by itself. A very usefull feature. Probably a loose connection or something.
another edit: Also my uncle drove his -96 E39 523ia touring forever. I have no idea how many km's it had but probably closer to 300k. He changed it last year and believe me that would have happened a lot sooner if the car wasn't so good.

2k eur for a fine E39 523i? I'm impressed. Those are at least 5k here.
