VW Phaeton:
They are somewhat cheap, even some decent examples, and there are actually quite a lot of used W12's to choose from here in CH. And if course, if a Phaeton, then a W12 beast. Just because.

The good: Lovable understated-looking 420hp AWD ?ber-barge, a banger-man's Bentley. Hell yeah!
The bad: No estate version.
 
When I was browsing ads before I bought the Alfa, I stumbled across a W8 sedan that was barely within my budget. I thought it would be a neat way to ruin myself driving the car everyday and showing tailpipes to the Audi drivers :)

Or look for 159 Sportwagon V6 Q4, such as this one :whistle:
 
That Alfa is almost too new to be called a banger. :lol:
But the Q4 in general comes on the list. Thanks for the tip.

I just played that W8 clip and demand that you buy one so we can all enjoy that noise together in tunnels. :shakefist:

Damn. If only. Audi CEO's should have been as silly as Volkswagens Dr. Piech was at the time and should have made these into production back in 2001:
Audi Avantissimo, a twin-turbo V8 430hp 600nm AWD Estate monster... because today, 13 years later, this car could be on the same price level as current VW Phaetons. :drool:

Yes. And with that they are about 1 sec quicker from 0-100km/h. But who does 0-100 on full tilt in real life? :D

Also, I keep saying this: The Phaeton is a NIGHTMARE. Step back and walk away. That thing will BREAK. The electronics in this are so bloody overcomplicated, for example it has a completely draft-free AC (Piech wanted it), which means it has around 40 electric flaps. The electronics in these things are a nightmare, and only a handful of VW shops are Phaeton-certified, so you might look at more trouble.

The Passat W8 is wonky and funny, therefore I support someone else besides me buying it for interesting stories.
