Just a few photos from today's Air Show at Amberly AB. It was unbelievably packed so it didn't leave much room for creative license as far as composition (should've taken a hi-vis jacket and seen whether people stopped ruining the shots [:p] - Keep in mind I'm no pro like most of you guys).

As a note of interest for any non-Australian aircraft guru's, the F111 (pictured in a few photos) is only in operation in Australia and this was to be the last air show it was to be featured in - it was one of the main reasons I went [:)]

*sigh* I've got such a soft spot for the Pig. That was my dream job when I was in school and I got so close, so damn close :cry:
 
I love the F111 to, it's one of those planes that's got a lot character about it - unlike all the F15's, etc which to me are just metal, very expensive and very powerful metal that is. :)
 
Nice to see the F111 is still kicking.
What are they replacing the F111 with? Don't tell me it's the damn bug....:no:

Nice shots, Unfortunately we were at wet & wild when the hercules was dumping flares over the gold coast or I would have got some shots of that. We had an f15 do a flyby earlier in the week (monday IIRC) which was also cool.

A few are of F15's (2 or 3 if I remember correctly since I'm capped at the moment and I don't have the patience to wait for them all to load..)

Thank you! I think with the contrast it tends to be more my preference in photos, since I don't do photography professionally (Therefore I don't have a responsibility to please everyone), all I really care about is giving them character and making them fit my style.

Nice shots there, I like the mood you've created. I went on Sunday, might post some pics up later.

Do you know if the pig will make a final appearance at Avalon in March? It'd be worth the trip alone...
