STS-V over the M5, RS6, or CLS55 AMG? sure its cheaper, but i would pay the extra cash for the others.
and the XLR costs as much as the AMV8 or the XKR.

From what I've read, the STS-V is offered with AWD...

Personally, I like the new look for Cadillac, but I'd only get either the CTS-V or XLR-V...though an AWD STS-V sounds like fun...and it is on the same platform as the CTS-V...

styling is subjective ;) The E55 is a snore, and the M5 is ugly..see opinions, they are worthless because everyone has one

Hopefully the STS-V can fix any handling and steering problems that doomed it to a 5th place finish in the last Car and Driver comparo, and be seen as a legitimate sports sedan to the stealthy Germans.

But then again, people will most likely take one look at the dash grain and think, "great, another typical shitty American boat". :wall:

cant say anything for the "v" versions, but ive been in the regular XLR and it wasnt that impressive...small things like the dash and instrumentation didnt fit a car of that price.

its got the engine from the CTS for like $15K less, its a pretty good deal if your into that stuff.

man, 77k and 100k.. thats hardly a bargain, but i'm glad that cady is putting some good equipment behind their cars finally. It makes me think that there is hope. So many years of fwd v8's i was getting depressed.

I think i woudl take one over a new bmw m5. .. If for some reason I were paying anyway. But I would have a e39 over both of those.

Then again, it continues GM's proud tradition of stuffing Corvette engines into as many cars as possible, so you could have a SSR, a CTS-V, or (gasp!) even a Corvette! ;)

yea, lol. why hasnt the SSR been killed yet?? I live in Michigan, a half hour from Detroit, and i rarely see any at all in any time of the year.

Ack! The SSR, I am reminded of the horror of that thing everytime I see the name. I see it on the roads around here sometimes, its just so large and clunky, and its just horrific.
