??? This is supposedly a model upgrade.

Ok, this is the current, soon to be superseded BA Ford Falcon

Now this is the new (?) BF Falcon.

What have they changed? The only thing i could get is the holes surrounding the foglights have a few fins in them. That's it. Not even the alloys have changed!!

They changed the lower bumper, the shape of the opening and around the fog lights. What do I win?

Ah yes, they've flipped the shape of the lower intake. Now the GT can look even more like the rest of the Falcon range!! (That exact thing was about the only styling differentiation of the GT other than that towel rack on the boot)

Guys, it's a minor facelift, a Series II. It's not meant to be a restyle or a major re-do. The money has been spent on mechanical upgrades. Much like the recent minor facelift Mazda did with the 6.

No, a series 2 was the step from BA to BA mkII. This is BF ffs! Like a step from VY to VZ. At least make some noticably different styling changes!

New 6 speed auto, upgraded engines, colours, trim, wheels, etc. They are playing it safe with the styling for now.

Fair point - but I still prefer to see the money spent on mechanical improvements rather than cosmetic upgrades.

^^ You have a very valid point there too

They bring it to America? That's the only change, I hope. :woot:

they shouldn't change it at all.. the current normal Falcon and XR series looks great... better than the Commodore... all it needs is a better gearbox which is what it has... even the interior kicks ass :D

Ahh c'mon fbc. Remember the AU? What was the difference betweent the AU Series I,II,III over about 6-years? NOTHING! Holden at least makes more 'sufficiant' changes at least every 2-years.

As I said - I prefer to see the money spent on fixing mechanical problems and refining the vehicle - you could argue Holden spent more money on cosmetics when they really should've been working to refine the V6 and awful auto gearbox

Heheh, that gearbox was as good as it was going to get. It's a shitter as it is. The only had to spend money on the cosmetics, the rest of the car was good enough as it was!!

Well they got the new 3.6 V6 in but has the gearbox been replaced yet? The engines good, now Holden can work on their design and get their interior on par with the Falcon.
But still, Ford dont put much effort in design at all. I think their engines are fine, they just need to update the look of the car.
