Lee Noble has announced plans to introduce a new supercar next year.

In an interview with Autocar, Noble said the car will be a mid-engine coupe that will "start at around ?70k, although even the top-end versions will still cost less than ?100k."

Power will be provided by an eight cylinder petrol engine, with an output of 400-650 bhp. According to Noble, the final performance figures depend "on how much money the customer wants to spend." Backed up by a Graziano six-speed manual transmission, the car should be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 3.5 seconds.

Riding on a spaceframe chassis, the supercar will have a full double wishbone suspension, steel brakes, and a total weight of less than 1200kg (2645 lbs).

The cars will be built in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and production will likely be limited to 100 units per year.

As you may recall, Lee Noble left Noble (the company he founded) in 2006. His new company has yet to be named.
