Anyone know what's the time for any F1 car on the 1/4 mile?

Just want to know how fast it goes. Emailed TG to see if they can do a segment on quarter mile with F1 car and others, aka Veyron.
 
I think the veyron is in the high 9's or 10s don't remember where i read it.
 
Koenigsegg is in the 9s... So a veyron Is probably around a high 8?
 
and an F1 car? IIRC the F40 did around 12s, and fifth gear already raced an F1 car against that and the F40 lost terribly (what ya expect..) so maybe 10-11? (just a calculated guess)

0 km/h to 100 km/h: 2.6 sec. or 37 m
0 km/h to 200 km/h: 5.0 sec. or 140 m
0 km/h to 300 km/h: 9.7 sec. or 480 m
200 km/h to 0 km/h: 1.9 sec. or 60 m
100 km/h to 0 km/h: 1.1 sec. or 22 m
 
bout 9 and a half seconds from that data. (1/4 mile = roughly 402m

but some F1 cars are said to be able to do 0-100mph-0 in under 5 seconds
 
how is 9 seconds slow? its fast by any standards .. and with the veyron with a gear ratio made for top speed and road use thats very very quick.

Isn't there a stat that an F1 car can go to 100 and back to 0 in 7 seconds or so?

well it depends on the car of course. but the quickest that i've heard is like 4.4
 
Sorry, i didn't see the -0 bit on the end, i thought you were only mentioning 0-100 times, hence my redundant post.

are they serious?? :shock: smacking a tree will make for a much gentler stop!

I was amazed too when i read this.. and the 200km/h to 0 is only 0.8 sec slower..!! will be handy in late breaking am sure :p
