Hello!

So a few weeks ago I finally replaced my dying Netgear N600 router from 2011 or so with a new to me Apple Airport router. It's been easy to set up and a bit strange to forgo all sense of what's 2.4GHz and what's 5GHz, it does that on its own. What I have been struggling with is getting my 1.5USB drive to work. Previously the old netgear router would show up Readyshare folder and I could open that to then click on my USB drive and then view my movies and tv shows. With the new router, I can see the drive and connect to it, but I cannot see the files. Is this because it's formatted for NTFS and not Mac OS Extended?

Seems you're already at your solution, really:

Admittedly, the thread is from 2014 - but it might just still be true today :D

edit: still true in 2018.

Ok, yeah I found a few results but figured I'd ask anyways...

Yeah, Apple doesn’t natively support NTFS just like Windows doesn’t natively support APFS.

Yeah, Apple doesn’t natively support NTFS just like Windows doesn’t natively support APFS.

so it should have been ok as it is formatted to FAT32 according to Mac OS high Sierra. The fucking photo won’t upload.
