Not exactly archeology, but still a group of historical records brought to the light.


 
 
It was news to me. I think the more interesting thing to me about this, since it does date back, potentially, 10,000 years. That means it was built before the lake filled, right? Or at least where it was built wasn't underwater at the time.

Right, the water level was much lower when it was built.

There are known settlements in Lake Huron about 150 feet below the surface. Which makes me wonder how quickly the water level rose to keep it recognizable as a settlement.
