Are Lexus IS-F drivers really dorks?

I can see how Lexus drivers in general can be deemed as exciting as accountants. But IS-F owners as dorks?

I'm considering getting one in the near future, but to be considered a dork? I would think geek is more in line.

Couldn't agree more. Choosing a car for affordability, comfort, driving pleasure, or equipment levels is a complete waste of time. Nor should you bother yourself with MPG, running costs or future trade-in values. Your only concern should be whether or not people you don't know whose opinions don't matter think you look like a dork while driving it.

Meanwhile back here in the real world... if someone labels you purely on the basis of what you drive then my guess is that you want nothing to do with them*.

While there are a few cars that nobody can look good in, if you want to get an IS-F then go for it. That said I really wish I hadn't warned my last boss off the Lexus SC430 by telling him he'd look like a second rate pornographer. It would be so satisfying now to see him oozing about town with the top down looking like the fat, middle-aged sleaze he really is!

*With the caveat that we all know Audis are now driven almost exclusively by cocks, at least here in the UK.

There aren't enough IS-Fs on the road to really stereotype the drivers. All the one's i've met (3 or 4) have been boring professionals in their 30s-40s who don't seem any different than regular people.

If you buy a Lexus IS-F, then I expect you to drive everywhere with the high beams on, even (especially) if it's daylight, riding an inch off my bumper then swerving into the other lane rapidly sans turn signal the second a spot clears, ensuring that the car you cut off is forced to slam on its brakes, then swerve back behind me once you realize that the other lane is going nowhere fast, staying 0.0005" off my rear bumper in an attempt to force me to go faster, presumably into the end of the car in front of me, because as a Lexus driver you're expected to be a smug, impatient jerk-off.

How's that for a generalization? Hope you get a great deal on your IS-F!
