We all know Hammond Heaven, and we all get freaked out by those girls. But these here aren't obsessed high school girls, they're TEACHERS. I shall never look at a teacher in the same way again.

I wonder, would obsessing over someone so badly while you're married/in a relationship (as many of those girls/women are) count as cheating??

And I wonder how Hammond feels about 60% or so of his audience only watching his shows cuz he presents them...

Warning, the following thread is HUGE (as in 89 pages in 3 days or so).

Hey, I don't know why I feel so strongly about it and I wish I didn't. Would save me a lot of time and energy. Those people just really scare me :(

But if this is going to be about people telling me I'm obsessed, maybe someone better close this before I make an even bigger freak out of myself

Hmmm, yes it looks like they've been hanging out with 14 year old girls too long! Mind you he has got a certain charm ;) But James is the real man of the bunch. He seems like a real gentleman one that would wine you and dine you  Richard seems like one of those all talk guys and Jeremy a groaper ;) But then Jeremy would be the one to buy me an M5, so....

People in general are super retarded/starstruck about celebrities... I don't really get it.

I'd be really un-nerved if I were in his shoes, I think that level of obsession makes you start to wonder... about your own personal safety.. but who knows maybe he likes it..

Having had a ringside seat for that awful moment when the girl heckled JC (I still have nightmares about that), I was actually more intrigued by Hammond's reaction to it all. There was quite a bit more to it than was shown on TV, and Richard's expression was one of acceptance and understanding. He's clearly come across that bird and her friends lots of times because I couldn't help thinking that he knew them. It was creepy.

I think the point of the thread is Hammond Fan bashing.
Meh, thats been done and dusted before in this forum. Its crazy I know, but get over it

Don't have a pop at me, have a pop at Micra !

For the love of all that is holy, do you honestly think I'm bothered enough to trawl through the boards to find a specific Hammond Fan bashing thread in which it's appropriate to share my first hand experience of the heckling incident? Nah mate, I've been happy to sit and wait until the next thread comes along...... oh and look ....... THIS IS IT !!!

Thank you. That's the kind of response I was hoping for.

And seeing how this thread is clearly pointless (and I'm hecka sorry for creating it in the first place), COULD SOMEBODY PLEASE LOCK THIS???

Oh, and Indochine: 'course he knew those girls. They'd been there like 4 times before. There, and now I'll never ever mention them again. Promise.

Of course he knew them through their constant attendance. My point is that instead of being freaked out (like I would have expected) he was accepting of their behaviour.

^ Well there's not much else for him to do - he can't exactly scream and run out of the room yelling "fangirls" now, can he? ;)

It's part of the territory I'd imagine (especially as he's in a lot more shows apart from Top Gear these days). Or maybe he likes it - scary thought.

I guess I'll lock this, since it was the thread owner who asked. :lock:

PM me if you want it unlocked so you can add something or whatever. Just give a reason :p
