Are Your Children Street Racing?

hahaha

Some of these things people do to there cars to make them handle better or perform better period.

If my kid was drifting. I'd rather him/her have a decently setup car for it, instead of them trying to drift a boat.

btw... what is Auto-tag?... I've never seen it in real life... who would be so stupid to crash each others cars on purpose

We play it here in australia.

You get 2 or more cars with CB radios and someone is "it". The person who is it specifies a suburb and everyone in their cars goes around in this suburb trying to hide from the person who is it.

If the person who is it gets within like 2 car lengths of you, you are then it and you specify a suburb.

We don't run into eachother though...

I like the way it says 'teenagers' don't have the ability to handle high powered cars. From some of the driving I see, I'd say some 'adults' don't have the ability to handle high powered cars too :p

Also....it makes it sound that the fact that their kids modify their cars would come as a surprise. Can you imagine the situation:

'Wow. I haven't noticed this ft high rear wing before. And these huge alloys and loud exhaust. Where on earth did they come from? And oh....it appears the car has been reprayed lime green and the windows have been tinted. When was all this done? Last year you say. Well....thank god I read this informative pamphlette else I wouldn't have noticed any of these things that my kid has so subtaly done to his car'

Nos? did they mention Nos? :bangin:

yeah, they forgot the most important items
nos, stickers, neons, and spinnarz :lmao:

nos doesn't go very well with drifting

Man, you could tell this dude wrote dis pamphlet just by reading some articles off the internet (extensive research). I say we woudn't need these warnings if we racers would just be excepted and let run free or build specific places for us to race. Cities build skate parks and bike trails, why not a simple drag strip or drift track, I bet that those will be less expensive than some skate parks that Ive seen. These races keep alot of kids off drugs and alcohol since most are responsible enough not to drink while racing.

Heres what I got to say to whoever thinks this way: GO PLAY IN TRAFFIC!

that looks pretty stock to me ;)

reminds me of that episode of Family Guy where peter finds out his daughter is a teenager. "wait, you knew about this?" "she's 16!"

I must be a street racer, I show a lot of the signs. Custom air intake, unususl wear and tear on the power wheels, a turbo.

i've heard of ppl trying to race across cities, and in czech they
supposedly compete to see who can go further up a highway,
on the wrong side of the road tho =]
that gets interesting really fast i bet

Why don't you join the SCCA?

That is one of the most ignorant articles I've read regarding street racing.

I do not advocate street racing. Most people are so skill-less that they do end up crashing and damaging others. They just watch a movie or go to a professional event and start believing they can do these things too. The problem with this is that they're playing around with large machinery that can easily kill people.

If I had children, I would buy them carts and take them racing on weekends. When they're old enough, I'll make them get a racing license and take them to sanctioned events. The streets are for public use. As in any public area, you must obey ettiquettes and respect others.

Like chaos386 said, join the SCCA. You'd be surprised how affordable this option is.
