Aston Martin DBRS9

the car in top gear I think was the real shit that they used in GT,,
this one is a track car that anyone can buy, if you can aford it :)
 
842 lb-ft of torque, that thing is gonna absolutely fly. No wonder it's giving the C6-R so much trouble.
 
has it won any races yet?
 
Currently on 7th and 10th on the General (1st and 4th in the GT1 Group, making a sandwich with the Vettes, half lap in front of the closest Vette and a second off their fastest lap)

Audi in front, with less than one hour to go, but the Astons are down. One in 3rd of GT1, behind the Corvettes, and the other is in 20th overall.

9th overall for one of them, third in the GT1, behind the Corvettes, the other one didn't make it.

The thing is this car didnt join the LeMans race, that was the DBR9 this is the DBRS9 there is a little difference in price and performance between the two ;)
The problem is that these two are race cars :( so you cant take them to the street

DBRS9 is a not-so-crazy version of the DBR9.

Yeah eccept, the DBR9s ran consistently faster laps than the C6Rs, and led the race all untill the last 4 hours, when the #59 car got the overheat problem. And the #58 car ran out of fuel... :roll:

Two crucial mistakes that led to C6R's victory. It doesn't matter if the DBR9 runs consistent laps that are 1 minute faster than the C6R...this is the test of Le Mans. A car that can run for 24 hours without catastrophic failures that cost them the race.

The race results speak for themselves.
 
true, but aston martin never set out to win this year, as they called it "a development year"

Hence it hasn't been racing that much, racing at lemans was simply for publicity.
