ATI CATALYST Drivers v5.11

ATI has released a new ATI Catalyst drivers bringing them up to version 5.11.

The package contains:
RADEON display driver 8.191,
Multimedia Center 9.08,
Catalyst Control Center 5.11,
HydraVision Basic Edition 3.25.9006,
Remote Wonder 3.02,
WDM versions 8.19 and 4.07 and
Southbridge/IXP Driver.

What I wondered: does that really change anything with 'older' cards like my Radeon 9800 Pro? Should I update?

I have one as well, and I hope it cures my NFS: MW problem (second race is always @2fps...)

my experience with ati radeon: don't update

if you're using a driver for a few months, leave it as is, caus if you change sth, it works half of what it used to

Well, my NFS:MW Prob was solved with this update, so I guess it doesn't hurt.

Although I agree with you: Never update ati drivers as long as you don't have a problem!!!

Running Omega 5.10as right now and I'm quite pleased with them, no need to update.

i'm sure one of the updates fried my card once. the first X800XT i had killed itself the first time I played HL2 after an update. Thankfully it was replaced under warranty. Haven't had a problem since, but i don't update unless i'm having trouble with something.
